I am happy to announce that our new online store exclusively for petite women www.forpetitesake.com is finally here!  The creation of our online boutique has been a labor of love for the past 6 months, 23 days, and 8 hours.  We officially launched our petite shopping site on March 17, St. Patrick’s Day, hoping that the luck of the Irish will shine upon our new business venture.

When I first started working on the online store, I was pretty clueless about the time and energy that goes into the development of a shopping site.  I have been overwhelmed at times, somewhat neurotic, and a nervous wreck when delays halted our progress.  My husband has been neglected, my dog starved for attention, and my desk looks like a tornado just hit.  I have overcome the challenges and can now “talk the talk” about site admin, secure socket layers, gateways, cookies (not the kind you eat), and navigation bars.  As I learned about the world of e-commerce, the most rewarding lesson was that you are never too old to learn new things.

Now that I can sit at my computer and browse through www.forpetitesake.com, all of the hassle, worry, and sleepless nights seems like “water under the bridge.”  I have accomplished my longtime goal of creating an online store that caters to petite women.  My vision was to sell clothing online that fits and flatters shorter women like me and follows the petite tips in my book of fashion advice, The Petite Handbook. I am offering my customers one thing that no one else can, my 20-plus years of petite industry expertise.  That’s right, anyone who shops www.forpetitesake.com can get free fashion advice to help you select the styles right for your shape and size.

Our store is in its infancy, and we are sure there will be some glitches to iron out.  We welcome your feedback.  Please help me spread the word to our “petite sisterhood.”  We promise that if you shop www.forpetitesake.com, you will never be short on style.
