A top that falls above your hips is usually the best look with a capri pant. To minimize the fullness in your bust, I would recommend v-necklines, vertical patterns, and darker shades of color on top.

An alternative to wearing shoes or sandals that match the color of the capris is to wear neutral/nude color shoes that blend with your skin tone. This trick works across the board – pants, skirts, dresses – to elongate the leg.

I’m 5′1 and capris look horrible on me. Would NEVER wear them. Probably because I’m shorter on the bottom half. I don’t like oants anyway so it works out well for me. But true, capris aren’t for everybody.

Thanks so much for you comment. As for length, just be sure the capri hits at the most flattering part of your calf. For a heavy calf, wear capris a bit longer.

I agree. Keeping the shoe the same color as the capri works. I wear mine with heels and prefer my capri’s to be very slim fitting at the bottom. What is the most flattering length?
